The Xpander table is a dynamic object that moves between minimalism with a restrained black stainless steel surface – to expressive spatial creation through a precise stainless steel and aluminum mechanism that opens simultaneously in three directions. Its movement blurs the line between furniture and machine, revealing two walnut storage compartments integrated within it. Designed by architect Assaf Kimmel, the table combines structural clarity with mechanical sophistication, into an object that functions as both a useful surface and a kinetic sculptural work. The mechanism – sometimes hidden and sometimes visible – invites interaction and transformation of the surrounding space.
